Kas Thomas has posted a really neat use of OpenCalais in OpenOffice, for “push-button” entity extraction. Check out his original blog post and also the Calais reaction.
Nice work — web services suddenly become functions in your localhost software. It’s exciting to see how integrated web service functionality can get.
Gotta like Anand’s now slightly dated review of Intel’s recent SSDs. Great primer for anyone interested in the future of external storage. The hard drive as we know it is on its way out.

Let me start with a pretty cool technology blog: assertTrue (http://asserttrue.blogspot.com/), including a pretty cool post about forging CAs using Sony PlayStations! Hopefully, this development will get the remaining root CAs to switch to SHA-1.
